Professional Instructors

Justin Thompson - As a graduate of Klein Oak High School, Justin was a 1st round draft choice of the Detroit Tigers and was also an All Star pitcher. Juistin pitched for the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers until his pitching career ended with injuries, Justin also served as a pitching coach in the Texas Rangers organization. Justin has been instructing youth on pitching, fielding and hitting for many years now and he is on our professional staff offering private instruction at AP Express.


Tammie Davis is a softball instructor with over 30 years of coaching experience. Tammie spent 7 years coaching and recruiting in D1, JC, and NAIA schools and 20 years coaching elite travel teams, Sudden Impact, Hotshots, and Blaze United. Tammie has been doing private instruction for more than 25 years helping athlete improve every facet of their game from mental, to throwing, fielding, pitching, catching, hitting and slapping skills. Tammies resume' includes the coaching of former, current and future D1 athletes, ncluding several World Series Champions, Olympians and professionals. Tammie has been recognized as a Mental Performance Mastery Coach.



Don Turley Jr. - Don serves as our organizational director at AP Express. Don successfully coached the Northwest 45 Little League team to a National Championship and a Junior team to a World Championship. Don has coached many select and showcase teams over the years and continues coaching at AP Express. Don served as a major league scout for 27 years with the Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rays organizations. Don has been working with youth players doing professional instruction for many many years and continues to offer professional instruction on all baseball related activities at AP Express.


Buddy Yen - Chen (Buddy) Yen is a graduate of Klein Oak High School where he excelled as a pitcher before attending college at San Jacinto College where he piutched before advancing to the Univerity of Louisiana Lafayette. After college, Buddy was drafted by the Kansas City Royals organization where he played, achieved the Rolaids Relief Player of the Year, until injuries took their toll effectively ending his professional career. Buddy was also a successfull coach with AP Express and now offers pitching and hitting lessons to members and the public.


Matt Harughty - Matt iis a local product who played Little League baseball at Northwest 45, before attending and graduating in 2005 from Spring High School where he excelled as a middle infielder.After graduation Matt attended Blinn Jr. College for 2 years before transferring to the University of Oklahoma. Matt was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in 2009 and played in their minor league system as a middle infielder Matt was a successful coach with AP Express for several years before taking a break. Matt will be offering private lessons on fielding and hitting.


Madison Johnson is our newest softball instructor at AP. Madison graduated from Lake Creek High School where she excelled in softball achieving honors as Academic All-State, 1st Team All-District, and 2 time State Champion. Madison brings 16+ years of softball expertise and is currently taking on private lessons at the AP Indoor Training Facility.
